George Bush and Dick Cheney are going to reactivate the draft to get more soldiers for their wars of conquest. They must be mad, insane. They’re going to draft women this time. Next it will be children.

A Senate Report last week found that no link existed between Iraq and the Saudi-based group that pulled off the bombing of the New York World Trade Center.

The same report also found no mass destruction weapons in Iraq.

After the 9-11 Commission, whose formation Bush had opposed, made the same finding in an earlier report, Bush disputed it, saying there was a link, a link he and his witch-spin-doctor co-president Tricky Dick Cheney have never demonstrated.

This time---------Bush didn’t even bother to lie, merely calling the Senate Report a “valuable tool.” He didn’t finish the sentence. He meant to say a “valuable tool for foisting blame on the CIA.”

Bush is the missing link.

Bush is the CIA’s boss. He never takes responsibility for anything.

Let me get this straight.

There were no nuclear weapons in Iraq or program capable of delivering them, no biological weapons, no chemical weapons, no link between 9-11 and Iraq. No nothing.

Then, why the hell did we invade Iraq?

Oh I know.

Because Bush said Saddam was a bad man. He’s down to his last excuse. Just watch. The way Bush’s luck in Iraq is going, there will be a new Senate study that determines Saddam was a good guy after all.

Americans have a conveniently short memory. We supplied Saddam until we had a falling out.

Thus, theoretically, the president can order the invasion of any country in the world based on the sole premise that its leader is a “bad man,” as determined by Bush and Cheney, without showing cause, simply by lying to and bullying a failed Congress and a complacent, ignorant populace (many morons think the weapons in Iraq were found).

Hail Caesar!

Let’s invade Cuba next. Castro’s a bad man.

The new Roman Empire ruled from Washington.

Bush’s subversion of the system of checks and balances intended by the Founding Fathers is remarkable. By labeling (in the style of Joe McCarthy) anybody who disagreed as disloyal or weak on terror, Bush and Cheney fragmented the country with their own reign of terror.

They got people all worked up like one of those mobs in a Frankenstein movie who march up to the castle with picks, shovels and torches. You’ve heard of sunshine patriots, those who only act patriotic when things are easy. These maniacs with flags waving from their cars are “black cloud” patriots; those who never show patriotism until they’re scared or feel threatened.

By misleading the country into a war, Bush has shown that the executive branch is all-powerful. Even if we muddle through Iraq, what this portends for the future is nothing short of disaster.

Future presidents will simply lie, deny and stonewall when they want to push their agendas. This will be standard operating procedure.

Bush’s very first go at “pre-emptive” war was wrong.

Bush isn’t as polished and suave a liar as Clinton was, but he can do one thing well. He looks at the camera and lies, and lies, and lies and lies. Keep repeating. Deny, deny deny. You can fool at least half of the people most of the time.

Bush makes Nixon look honest. He’s the worst president since Warren Harding.

By the way, I’m a conservative.

Bush should be impeached---starting with the top man---Cheney.
