‘Dis guy is great. George Orwell Bush has gotten himself in a jam, and I’m claiming victory. I opposed the war in Iraq, and I was right.
Bush has come full circle, from the pompous ass parading around in his National Guard weekend warrior uniform, to coming hat in hand through his mouthpiece Colin Powell asking the same UN countries he earlier called yellow------for help. Powell lied through his teeth and said the continuing anarchy and skyrocketing costs did not influence the recent decision to seek UN help.
What a coincidence, asking for UN help one week after advisors told him the cost of Iraq was unsustainable.
Why do you need help George?
I hope the close-minded fanatic woman who wrote me an e-mail calling Iraq a “scum-sucking” country, presumably all of Iraq, not just the bad guys, but all its people, men, women and children, reads this.
Bush’s advisors advised him that Iraq was unsustainable. Unsustainable. That’s not my word. That’s from the Bush men. Right out of the newspaper. If it’s unsustainable, it was, and is-------a bad plan.
What was Bush’s plan to deal with phase two of the war, the guerilla war? It took months for Rummy (defense secretary) to still not admit it’s a guerilla war. They’re planting bombs in Baghdad. We didn’t shock and awe them enough. You can almost see the puzzled look on the technology-star-wars-loving corporate America crowd. Their god, technology, can’t even control the streets.
No president in history has so consistently failed to deliver, has been so consistently wrong, and so consistently not been held accountable by a large segment of the American people.
As one pro-war hawk put it, “I don’t care.”
You’d think Bush would luck into one, just one.
No weapons of MD (I’ll give Bush the benefit of the doubt. There’s probably a jar of nerve gas buried somewhere. That doesn’t make it a 45-minute deployment threat to the US as Bush said). No nuclear capability. No uranium from Niger. No link between Baghdad and 9-11 (Saddam and Al Qaeda didn’t like each other. But Al Qaeda is in Iraq now).
Bush finally got his link.
No American troops viewed as liberators. Not enough. Not now.
No sharing of the cost of the bill among nations (Bush’s cronies wouldn’t estimate the cost because they didn’t want you to find out).
As I write this, Bush is going on the air to explain the need to continue the Iraq adventure. He’ll continue to hint at the false link between 9-11 and Iraq. He’ll continue to use fear (oceans no longer protect us from the big bad Arabs) to whip up American sentiment.
I didn’t believe back then, and don’t believe more strongly now, that Iraq is worth the cost or an effective blow to international terrorism.
You think I’m a Democrat? I’m a conservative. My mother likes Bush, and got mad when I criticized him. “You don’t like anybody (any president) do you?” she said. That’s a female ploy Mom. She’s angry.
It doesn’t take much to please me. Just be honest.
My dislike is bipartisan. If you’re president, and do disgusting obscene sex acts with a cigar on a female intern young enough to be your daughter, in the Oval Office during business hours----I won’t like it.
Likewise, if you drag the country to war, and every single premise for it proved false----I won’t like that either.
